Now that Clinton has been passed over, Biden got around 9,500 votes, Clinton a little over 18 million. I don't think Obama showed good judgment on this decision but I really don't care because I will be voting for McCain.

Democratic House aides say the energy agenda has been carefully gamed out in strategy sessions, and Pelosi always intended to take heat on gas prices while tacitly encouraging more vulnerable Democrats to publicly disagree with her and show their independence.I hope the voters are paying attention. This is all a part of Pelosi's bigger plan that we have been watching unfold over the last six months or so (maybe the last two years). Is it going to backfire on Pelosi? I hope so, and it seems to be according to the poll taken last month. Americans are very tired of being deceived by Washington elites. I hope the Politico continues to cover Pelosi and I hope the MSM will cover this also. What we need is a fact check on everything Pelosi says and has said for the last two years. Have any of the things she has said she and the Dem's would do come to pass? No.
Freshman Democrats like Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania and Don Cazayoux of Louisiana have taken her up on the offer.

Tom Ridge was on ABC's "This Week" today and he said Obama had changed his stance on drilling later in the day.
George S.:"He seems open to drilling right now, as part of a comprehensive package."The media covered him saying he would support drilling but I am unable to find anything where Obama says he is against drilling since he said he was for it.
Ridge: "Well now, he said that in the morning and later on in the afternoon he clarified his position. He said I am opposed to drilling. He is opposed to drilling."
George: "But he said he would accept it as a part of a comprehensive package."
Ridge: "That he clarified later in the day. I mean it's typical. You know every once in a while, we see him playing basketball. And he's obviously a pretty good athlete. And probably has a pretty good head fake. So the head fake is 'well I'll deal with a compromise' but later on depending on the audience too, he's saying 'I don't favor drilling.' And he doesn't favor nuclear. So at the end of the day, you say to yourself, this is a competitive issue, short-term and long-term. At the end of the day, I think members of both parties are moving closer and closer to Senator McCain's position by saying, 'Look, we need to put it all on the table. Let's figure it out. We need both a short and long-term energy policy.' And by the way, the windfall profits tax that Senator Obama feels is pretty popular, politically popular, doesn't reduce the price at the pump, doesn't reduce our dependency on foreign oil, and doesn't increase production. So that ad was about energy. And let's get serious, let's recognize who he is very charismatic, gives great speeches, but it's substance time. Ninety days left to go, let's talk issues."

RAISIN' MCCAIN
Music and lyrics by John Rich
Well we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain
And we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain
Well he got shot down in a Vietnam town
Fighting for the red, white and blue
And they locked him up in the Hanoi Hilton
Thinking they could break him in two
He stayed strong, stayed extra long
'Til they let all the other boys out
Now we've got a real man with an American plan
We're going to put him in the big White House
Well we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain
Play that American guitar, son
And we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain
I said we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain
Well you can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain
