Who will they vote for?

Now that Clinton has been passed over, Biden got around 9,500 votes, Clinton a little over 18 million. I don't think Obama showed good judgment on this decision but I really don't care because I will be voting for McCain.

Do You Know Enough?

I don't know about you but I like it, she does come off a bit, well never mind. Its a good ad.

Isn't she repeating McCain's plan at the end? The Lexington Project. John has a plan for reducing our dependence on foreign oil and a clean car challenge. Sorry Paris that plan is McCain's plan you will have to come up with one of your own. We don't need another candidate who takes others plans and calls them their own, Obama has been doing that all along. First with Clinton and now he is trying to take on McCain's stand on everything.

Apparently Nancey Pelosi is giving her blessing to democrats to do just that to save their office. America is waking up to the democrats talking out both sides of their mouth and I am wondering if they will fall for Nancey's little plan??? Martin Kady exposed the Pelosi plan at Politico yesterday. "Pelosi: At-risk Dems back drilling"

Democratic House aides say the energy agenda has been carefully gamed out in strategy sessions, and Pelosi always intended to take heat on gas prices while tacitly encouraging more vulnerable Democrats to publicly disagree with her and show their independence.

Freshman Democrats like Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania and Don Cazayoux of Louisiana have taken her up on the offer.

I hope the voters are paying attention. This is all a part of Pelosi's bigger plan that we have been watching unfold over the last six months or so (maybe the last two years). Is it going to backfire on Pelosi? I hope so, and it seems to be according to the poll taken last month. Americans are very tired of being deceived by Washington elites. I hope the Politico continues to cover Pelosi and I hope the MSM will cover this also. What we need is a fact check on everything Pelosi says and has said for the last two years. Have any of the things she has said she and the Dem's would do come to pass? No.

Now lets take a look at the number of democrats dropping in the US since Hillary Clinton got out of the race, we need to look at 2004. In the '04 election Democrats started out with a 2.3% edge over the Republicans and by the time the election day rolled around it had dropped to a 1.6 lead. In this election in May Democrats had a 10.1 % lead over Republicans, in July it had dropped to 7.6%. To look at 2004 to current numbers go to Rasmussen. While the Republican numbers did not go up the "Other" did. I will let you come to your own conclusion as to why.

I believe Americans are paying attention to this election because of the war in Iraq and the economy. With Pelosi stopping the vote on drilling as the Dem's have been doing basically for at least the last two years we may see the Dem numbers drop even further in August. What better way to make Bush and the Republicans look bad then to stop drilling in the US thus driving up oil prices and we all know how that has caused everything to go up. Who has had to pay for Pelosi's little game? We have, every time we go to the gas station, the grocery store, any time we buy any thing, we pay. It is all a power struggle and we are the pawns in Pelosi's game.

I don't believe we are going to get a true picture of what is going on in Washington from the MSM because they have not given us the truth in the past.

What did Bill Clinton mean when he said "The Constitution sets qualifications for the president"

Video from MSNBC.

The Executive

The duty of the Executive Branch is to enforce the laws of the United States. The branch is headed by the President. The Constitution sets out the qualifications for the President in Article 2, Section 1:

  • 35 years old or older
  • Must be a native-born U.S. citizen
  • Must have lived in the United States for fourteen years

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Is it the question of his birth certificate that we have read about that no one in the MSM will cover?

According To Ridge

Tom Ridge was on ABC's "This Week" today and he said Obama had changed his stance on drilling later in the day.

George S.:"He seems open to drilling right now, as part of a comprehensive package."

Ridge:
"Well now, he said that in the morning and later on in the afternoon he clarified his position. He said I am opposed to drilling. He is opposed to drilling."

George:
"But he said he would accept it as a part of a comprehensive package."

Ridge:
"That he clarified later in the day. I mean it's typical. You know every once in a while, we see him playing basketball. And he's obviously a pretty good athlete. And probably has a pretty good head fake. So the head fake is 'well I'll deal with a compromise' but later on depending on the audience too, he's saying 'I don't favor drilling.' And he doesn't favor nuclear. So at the end of the day, you say to yourself, this is a competitive issue, short-term and long-term. At the end of the day, I think members of both parties are moving closer and closer to Senator McCain's position by saying, 'Look, we need to put it all on the table. Let's figure it out. We need both a short and long-term energy policy.' And by the way, the windfall profits tax that Senator Obama feels is pretty popular, politically popular, doesn't reduce the price at the pump, doesn't reduce our dependency on foreign oil, and doesn't increase production. So that ad was about energy. And let's get serious, let's recognize who he is very charismatic, gives great speeches, but it's substance time. Ninety days left to go, let's talk issues."

The media covered him saying he would support drilling but I am unable to find anything where Obama says he is against drilling since he said he was for it.

Obama alters drilling stance
Barack Obama signaled he might support a compromise that allows offshore oil drilling.

Obama's Shift on Drilling

So what we have is Obama is against drilling, for it, against it...What is it?

Senator McCain saw the problem and said it should be up to the states if there is off shore drilling. McCain is for it, I know where he stands. Barack Obama is trying to have it both ways.

RAISIN' MCCAIN
Music and lyrics by John Rich

Well we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain

And we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain

Well he got shot down in a Vietnam town
Fighting for the red, white and blue
And they locked him up in the Hanoi Hilton
Thinking they could break him in two

He stayed strong, stayed extra long
'Til they let all the other boys out
Now we've got a real man with an American plan
We're going to put him in the big White House

Well we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain

Play that American guitar, son
And we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way

We're all just raisin' McCain
I said we're all just raisin' McCain
Everywhere across the USA
You can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain

Well you can get on the train or get out of the way
We're all just raisin' McCain
